Riverside Hotel by Chef & Brewer Collection (Burton-upon-Trent, United Kingdom)

One thing you cannot fault about this hotel is the location. It is ideally situated on the banks of the river and as such there are lots of lovely walking opportunities right on your doorstep. It’s such a quaint little area that you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a true English village.

The rates at this hotel are certainly affordable and considering what you get for your money, they are extremely good value. Comfortable rooms and great service combined with an excellent location make this an ideal base for a cheap weekend away.

The lovely staff at this hotel go above and beyond the call of duty in their efforts to keep the guests happy. They are so friendly and have lots of tips about the local area that will keep you busy during your stay.

The hotel is lovely and enjoys a super location, but the overall décor of the building leaves you wondering when it was last refurbished. It isn’t terrible, but it is quite old which is probably why the rooms aren’t expensive at all.

The bath and the toilet in some of the rooms are a little too close for comfort meaning that if you are tall or large you may have an uncomfortable experience in the bathroom. This doesn’t really detract from the overall pleasantness of the hotel though.

It’s surprising that a quiet place like this could be noisy but if there is a wedding party you may have to endure a few hours of sleeplessness. The pipes are also a bit noisy.
