Most guests give the reception team high marks for their friendly, helpful service. Several tourists were relieved to find the front desk personnel are fluent in English, and were further impressed that the knowledgeable team readily suggests destinations, gives clear directions, and even provides a number to call in case guests somehow get lost or stranded.
Guests can reach most of the major tourist attractions in Old Town, including the Long Market, National Museum, the Crane, river cruises, and the Golden Gate in five to fifteen minutes on foot. Those who wish to explore Sopot's famous beaches and nightlife can catch the train at Gdansk Glowny Railway Station, a 20-minute walk. There are also many restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Several guests are certain the hotel has the "best location in Gdansk."
Most guests find the rooms to be sparkling clean, with attractive, modern decor, comfortable beds, and luxurious bathrooms. Guests with rooms facing the bustling town square enjoy the view without the noise, as the windows are double-glazed. Some rooms also offer balconies. Guests in Business Class or Deluxe Rooms note that the Super Breakfast Buffet is included, and that it is well worth the extra expense.
A few guests have commented that some of the rooms feature two twin beds pushed together as opposed to one queen or king bed, which many would have preferred as their sleep was disturbed by slips into the gap between the beds.
Though the majority are pleased with the customer service, a smaller group found that their concerns were not addressed effectively.
A few guests found the bar a bit gloomy, and recommend the outdoor terrace instead.
