Residencial Marés is located in a central part of Tavira, making it easy to explore Old Town and all of the city's attractions from this location. Guests loved being able to walk through the city without having to worry about hiring a car or taking public transit.
Many past guests have commented on the views from the rooms, as they overlook the river and are quite spectacular at night. Many rooms feature a balcony that overlooking the river, which is another value added features that guests have appreciated in the past.
Numerous guests have said that the staff at this hotel is very helpful and always willing to assist guests with whatever they need. These staff members are also very friendly and this makes the property as a whole a much more hospitable place.
Although some guests of Residencial Marés thought that the breakfast was great, others believe that it lacks variety and is just OK. If you are planning to stay at this property for multiple days, the breakfast might get a little tired after a while.
If you don't enjoy hard mattresses, you might have trouble sleeping at this hotel. A few guests have mentioned that the mattresses are overly firm and, therefore, somewhat uncomfortable.
There is no lift at this hotel, so you might end up climbing some stairs with your luggage upon arrival. This is only an issue if you are located on one of the top floors, however, as the building isn't very big, featuring only 24 rooms.
