Emlagh House is a luxury country house situated along the Wild Atlantic Way on the Dingle Peninsula.
All 10 rooms are en suite with private bathroom and complimentary toiletries. Rooms are individually decorated and come with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a sitting area. All rooms feature either a king-sized bed or queen-sized bed.
Emlagh House is a non-smoking facility and offers a lift. Guests may enjoy the garden and terrace, or the lounge area with TV. An airport shuttle is available for a surcharge, and there is free self-parking.
This hotel does not have an onsite restaurant, however, there are many within a 10-minute walk including The Chart House, Out of the Blue seafood restaurant, and The Global Village which specialises in using fresh, local ingredients.
Nearby activities include hiking, bird watching, horseback riding, and sea fishing. Dunbeg Fort is six miles away. Slea Head, Blasket Centre, and Dunmore Head are less than 10 miles from this hotel.
You won't want to miss breakfast when staying at this guesthouse. Enjoy spectacular views of the bay from the breakfast room as you dine on a delicious, cooked-to-order breakfast. Guests recommend the pancakes as well as the porridge topped with an amazing Irish creme sauce.
Bathrooms Feel Luxurious
This beautiful country house feels more like a boutique hotel, but with added charm. Rooms are elegantly appointed and quite spacious. You'll be pleased with the bathrooms, as they come complete with a tub and full shower with excellent water pressure, heated floors and towel bars. You'll be ready to relax after a long day of exploration. Guests also say how quiet the house is, even when full of guests.
Peaceful Dingle Location
Located on the quiet side of town, you can be at Dingle city centre in a short, five-minute walk where you'll find shopping and dining. Guests say to be sure to stop into one of the local pubs to enjoy the live music.
Having Tea is Challenging
Guests are a bit disappointed that coffee and tea making facilities are not available en suite. There is a common sitting room where tea and coffee is available all day, however, it can be a bit challenging to return to your room with multiple cups of tea.
Not All Rooms Have a View
If you're looking for a room with a view, be sure to indicate so prior to arrival. Guests who stay on the first floor have no view as tall hedges block their windows. Some higher floor rooms overlook the parking lot instead of the countryside and bay.
No Onsite Restaurant
This guesthouse does not offer an onsite restaurant or bar, which many guests find inconvenient. There are many local restaurants nearby, but guests would appreciate an onsite option.
