Smugglers Rooms Renovation 2021 Smugglers Inn is currently renovating 15 of its rooms for season 2021. We hope to be back with a fresh new look to our 15 ensuite bedrooms. We have a highly renowned designer involved and we will also be appearing on the show "Room to Improve" with the Brennan Brothers on RTE. Why not stay with us and have a look on your 2021 staycation! Situated on the famous Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way, The Smugglers Inn overlooks a sandy beach at Ballinskelligs Bay and is just one mile from the village of Waterville. All rooms are en suite with sea or mountain view and have TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also a fully licensed bar and gourmet restaurant offering fresh seasonal local produce, with seafood being a speciality. Chef/Proprietor Henry Hunt. Free WiFi in all areas and free parking. For golf enthusiasts The Smugglers Inn is adjacent to the world-famous Waterville Golf Links and approximately 2km from the new Hogs Head Golf Club. Nearby Lough Currane offers excellent salmon and sea trout fishing. Drying facilities are available for golfing and fisherman guests. Other activities to be enjoyed in this area include walking, hiking and horse-riding. Or take a boat trip to the major tourist attraction of Skellig Michael - a UNESCO world heritage site 8 miles off the coast from Portmagee in South West Kerry. Climb to the top and see the well preserved monastic settlement dating back to 600AD plus all the birds and wildlife. Booking advisable (May-September) and weather permitting. NOTE open on a seasonal basis each year from April to October and may be closed on quiet days early in the season or near the end of the season so best to call for reservations.
