This hotel is in the best possible location in St Andrews. Whether you’re here for the golf or the historical sights, you won’t have far to walk each morning. And with so many restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance, you won’t need a car at all.
The staff at this hotel do their best to do the hotel proud by making you feel right at home. It’s a family run place, and you can get that homely feeling from the moment you walk in the door. A great place for a first-time visit.
Each of the rooms is slightly different, and many guests have commented that they are all of a very high standard. They are spacious and comfortable and cleaned thoroughly each day. What more could ask for from a hotel?
If you have mobility issues, then you might want to think again about staying at this hotel as there is no elevator. The stairs are also quite steep and can be challenging enough even for the average guest.
The breakfast is very enjoyable, but you have to be up early if you’re going to catch it. Some guests have noted that although they were up early enough, the room was a bit congested, so they didn’t get what they wanted.
This is not a five-star hotel, but the prices are still quite high. Perhaps this is due to its location but many guests feel that the hotel could be a bit cheaper considering its age and décor.
