Remisens Hotel Albatros (Cavtat, Croatia)

Guests are able to enjoy a convenient location that provides immediate access to both the vibrant city centre of Cavtat and the scenic and breath-taking views provided by the nearby seafront. Guests have direct access to the large, expansive beach as well as the bustling city is home to a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants as well as local, cultural landmarks.

The vast majority of guests were in agreement that the hotel is very clean and well-maintained by its staff; a daily housekeeping service is provided which ensures the rooms remain clean for the duration of a guest’s stay and the hotel itself meets a similarly high standard of cleanliness.

Both the outdoor and indoor pools were considered a highlight by guests as were the wide range of facilities available, such as the on-site gym and spa. Children were entertained by the kid’s club animation team while adults could make use of the numerous bars as well as the relaxing facilities on-site. Active guests could enjoy the use of the on-site tennis courts as well as the various water-based activities, such as water skiing.

While guests were complimentary towards the facilities, most felt that the hotel’s décor could with a modern makeover as some of the surroundings and the room's furnishings, felt tired and in need or renovation.

The buffet-style restaurant did not offer a huge range of vegetarian options and the entire food selection, meat included, lacked variety; some guests found this to be a downside of eating on-site.

The on-site restaurant appears to be understaffed and can, at times, be chaotic as the times in which food is available are limited and a large number of guests descend upon the restaurant for meal times.
