This is the kind of staff that should be at every hotel, and every guest should be lucky to interact with. They respond promptly to requests, are more than happy to tell you about the city and give you insider advice, and are extremely pleasant to be around.

You're in a fantastic location to go sightseeing and absorb the local culture, when staying at Metropolitan Vancouver. Many well known places, including shopping, entertainment and sports' venues, historical sites, and Nature trails are close by, and easily accessible by walking, driving, or taking the bus.

The pool and gym are maintained well and comfortable to use, and the putting green is also nice. With many guests relying on a steady Wi-Fi signal, it's noteworthy here because of its strength and consistency.

Unfortunately, the rooms aren't everything imagined or hoped for. They're run down, and the fixtures are not as polished as they should be. Decor and items need a makeover, and the paint and carpeting should also be redone.

It's a let-down that for the room's pricing, parking is still an extra fee. Guests balk at having to incur an additional charge, and don't consider it fair. The parking is also a little tight, which adds to the frustration.

The elevator is either very slow to respond, which often results in overcrowding, or goes up and down in a jerky motion that makes guests concerned about safety. You may want to consider using the stairs, if you don't have to use the elevator.
