Lauriston Hotel (Ardrossan, United Kingdom)

The hotel is only a short walk away from the local beach and the ferry port which many guests found very convenient. Those who came here to practice their golfing skills were also pleased to find several courses in close proximity to the hotel.

Guests were pleased to find that the size of their rooms exceeded their expectations as they said they had plenty of space to move around as well as to stow away their belongings. Those whose rooms were situated at the front of the building said that waking up to the picturesque sea views was the highlight of their stay.

Many enjoyed spending their free time in the comfortable bar which was said to have a lively atmosphere especially at the weekends when there is live entertainment. During warmer weather, many chose to sit out on the terrace from where they could admire the wonderful views whist having their drinks.

Some of the guests mentioned that there was rather a limited amount of items available for breakfast and they particularly objected to the lack of healthy options such as fresh fruit and yoghurts.

The rooms were said to be quite tired-looking and in need of modernisation n as quite a few guests mentioned that the furniture was starting to show its age and that the bathrooms suites were also rather dated and basic.

Whilst some guests objected to the rooms feeling too hot and stuffy others said that they found the rooms as well as the bathrooms uncomfortably cold. Quite a few guests said they objected to not being able to control the room temperature themselves.
