The Royal at Queens is ideally situated no matter your reason for travel. Close to the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Center, and right in the middle of a business area, it might be just what you are looking for. Alternately, get to sight-seeing at the Peranakan Musuem, a ten-minute walk from the hotel, and the first of its kind in the world. The Esplanade Theater, a popular performing arts attraction, is also within walking distance.

For the most part, guests were happy with the service they received at the Royal at Queens. Concerns were addressed efficiently, and front desk staff aim to make your stay enjoyable.

Guests weren't prepared to find bathrooms that seemed to have submitted to the humid Singapore weather. Mold or mildew was a concern for some, and guests felt a deep clean was in order. Cramped bathroom quarters were also not ideal for guests staying at this hotel.

A stark pool area was reported by some, with the real deal being different than pictured. The pool wasn't the best for large gatherings, according to several guests, but it was a good fit for swimming laps. Unfortunately, things like pipes sticking out of walls wasn't the inviting pool scene guests had hoped for.

Several guests said "no, thank you" to the hotel restaurant, especially the breakfast buffet. In a city with a diverse food scene, guests felt their money was better spent elsewhere. Cold food and limited selection were amongst the list of complaints. With limited Western food options, those with less adventurous tastes might want to give the on-site restaurant a pass.
