Tralee Holiday Lodge in Kerry is a welcoming holiday lodge, inviting many visitors each year to enjoy biking or cycling holidays. Rooms come in many sizes and the entire lodge can accommodate up to 100 guests. All rooms feature free TV, a fully equipped en-suite, and is especially large enough for families. The Tralee Holiday Lodge is located in the centre of Kerry, and is just a five minute walk from both the train and the bus station in Tralee. Laundry service, private car parking, bicycle storage, and a recreation lounge offer something for everyone. There are no restaurants on this property, but there is a central kitchenette area. Additionally, there are very well known restaurants about a block away, which feature local cuisine. Nearby are many opportunities to enjoy the area, including the National Folk Theatre, Tralee Golf Club, hiking, horse riding, and the Ashe Memorial Park.

Many guests said that they had stayed in many hostel accommodations that were quite lacking, but the Tralee Holiday Lodge not only met, but exceeded, expectations. Most hostel rooms are extremely basic, but the standard features that come with these rooms go beyond that, offering more.
Guests who wish to spend the majority of their holiday out and about will appreciate the efficiency of the rooms, the breakfast that is provided, and the fact that the hotel is situated smack in the middle of town. It is literally within walking distance of so many interesting things to do.
The friendly and welcoming attitude of the staff created for guests a very safe and warm atmosphere in the lodge. People got to know one another and many times at the end of everyone's stay, good friends have been made.
Perhaps it has to do with the number of guests staying, but most who have stayed there have indicated that no matter what time you shower, the water will only be lukewarm, if that. Keep in mind that many young people choose this location, so it is not a quiet place, either.
During the summer months there is a carnival in town and it is located right across from the hotel, which means that the sights, sounds, and lights from this festival will keep you awake at night. Guests have remarked that they would recommend avoiding staying there during the summer, unless you are specifically coming for the carnival.
If you drive in you will have to park down the street, quite a walk from the hotel. And off the street parking will cost you.
