Fantastic location

The hotel is right by the Menin Gate and the Grand Palace, and you can’t get much more central than that It is the perfect place for anyone on a trip to the area as you can get to all the sights within minutes.

Lovely owners and staff

The owner works in the hotel and is more than happy to help with any problems you might have during your stay The staff are also extremely helpful when it comes to advice on the local hotspots and tourist sights.

Full of character and hospitality

A stay in this hotel is like a step back in time but in the best way possible It’s full of old world charm which is quite apt for a visit to this historic area The rooms are quiet, and the added bonus at this hotel is that the breakfast is very filling and satisfying.

Small rooms not great to relax in

If you usually spend a lot of time in your hotel room, then you might want to take into consideration the size of the rooms at this hotel They’re not tiny, but they can feel a little cramped if you and your partner have a suitcase each.

Steep steps not very inviting

There are some very steep stairs in this hotel that may be a problem for the elderly or those with reduced mobility However, there are some ground floor rooms, so if you are worried about making it up those stairs, ask for a room downstairs.

Limited hours on front desk

The hotel doesn’t operate a 24-hour front desk and at times during the day it seems that the staff are handling more than one duty at a time So there may be a little waiting time during your stay here.
