Positive Reviews

A wonderful world in Windsor

It’s a few miles out of the manic centre, so life is a bit more laid back here. The property is imposing and includes really attractive gardens. The only catering they do is the optional breakfast, but with a great pub opposite and a restaurant next door, who cares!

Attractive rooms

Spacious and comfortable; they are, in effect, ‘self catering’- because nothing is available here other than the continental breakfast which is left in the room. So, once you’ve cottoned on to what the place is all about, the inclusion of a toaster is seen as a real bonus!

Owners: ‘Now you see them – now you don’t!’

They couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful on arrival – which is nice. Make the most of it though, as you’ll probably never see them again! This isn’t an adverse criticism – it enables you to relax without having to indulge in polite conversation with complete strangers. Brilliant!

Negative Reviews

What’s on the tele?

There’s quite a lot of screen interference for a start. The TV reception isn’t great here.

Bed and bunkum

This is a very, very nice place; spotlessly clean and with lovely owners. That said, it is not a ‘Bed and Breakfast’ There’s no dining room, communal lounge etc; just a series of self catering guest rooms. The breakfast element comes in the form of –quite nice actually – ‘continental’ style products But it’s hardly catering – nor is it breakfast … not as we know it!

Disabled dilemma

‘Ground floor rooms’ doesn’t automatically mean good access for disabled guests. There are a number of steps to be negotiated to get to that ground floor level. Just something worth noting!
