Positive Reviews

A star is born!

This is the perfect hotel from which to explore a number of fascinating places of interest. Heading the list must be the Warner Brothers’ Studio and the unforgettable Harry Potter Tour.

When we are married!

The biggest day of anyone’s life and it’s crowned here with glorious photo opportunities, inside and out. Also, the reception venue, food and service, really contribute towards a glitteringly successful celebration.

Warm and welcoming

A friendly welcome on arrival, pleasantly furnished and warm rooms, an attractive evening and breakfast menu, indoor and outdoor facilities that are difficult to beat anywhere else – and easy car parking. What’s not to like!

Negative Reviews

Wobbly facilities

The much vaunted Wi-Fi simply doesn’t work. Rooms are cold and whilst staff do what they can, they are clearly restricted to apologising profusely, but with no solution to the problem. On the subject of wobbly facilities, this does not apply to the lift … there isn’t one!

Nasty rooms

To start with, rooms are small; something which is emphasised further as the result of no air conditioning. Stained bed coverings and mould around windows, taps and showers, are all problems that should be sorted,. easily and immediately These rooms are not thoroughly cleaned; that’s what it boils down to.

From spectacular to the drab

The approach and main building reception builds you up for a spectacular stay. Then things decline rapidly! Rooms in the annexe, are dingy with car park views; not those of the stunning landscaped gardens. Rooms are less than clean, OK, let’s face it, they’re down market and somewhat sub standard. One high note, though, is the bar prices. they are sky high and extortionate!
