Positive Reviews

Amazing food.

The award-winning adjacent pub and restaurant is a must when staying at the Star Inn - it has received awards as the Restaurant of the Year and Best Gastro Pub. The menu features a good mix of traditional and modern dishes - the ambiance of the dining space is also very welcoming.

Simple and welcoming.

If you are looking for a place to escape and get back to the basics, the Star Inn is a good place to go. Though there are enough modern conveniences to keep most guests happy, there is more of an emphasis on exploring the surrounding location and village. When you want to get away from the bustle of a city, the Star Inn offers a welcoming and tranquil ambiance.

Ideal getaway.

There are plenty of hiking trails to explore during a stay and the village is within walking distance if you prefer to go out and do a little shopping or dining. Though there are limited amenities, the on-site restaurant and pub provides everything you need it you want to just relax for a weekend getaway.

Negative Reviews

Potentially busy.

The pub and restaurant is very popular, which means it does have the potential to get crowded on weekends. The Inn portion of the property is set away from the dining space, but if you are looking for personalised or quiet service, don't expect it during peak travel times.

Hard to find.

Due to the more remote location of the village and surroundings, this property could be easy to miss if you're not paying attention.

Limited wine list.

If you love to drink wine with your meal, the wine list that accompanies the meals in the restaurant is not very extensive.
