Positive Reviews

It's all you'll need.

You'll find this small bed and breakfast has all you'll need for a great night's stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The food is yummy. This ticks all the boxes for a quick night's sleep or short holiday.

Off to the races.

The location is perfect for those wanting to explore. The centre of Wakefield is an easy walk, with shops, restaurants, and the hospital nearby. For those who come for thrills, it's also a short walk to the Wetherby, Ripon, York, and Doncaster racecourses.

What you see is what you get.

The rooms in the bed and breakfast match the pictures you'll see on the Internet. There are no surprises here, which is a friendly surprise. You'll know exactly what you're getting---a worry-free, relaxing stay no matter the reason or length.

Negative Reviews

More like a boarding house.

This establishment operates more like a boarding house than a homey bed and breakfast. Many of those staying have ties to the local hospital, either nurses, interns, or families visiting ill relatives. As a result, there is no real sense of community or hospitality for those staying only overnight.

Bar the noise from pub noise.

The rooms have no real sound-proofing and the downstairs pub noises can be heard by guests. A busy, loud bar on the weekends will likely mean interrupted sleep or late nights.

A favorite with workmen.

Most of the fellow guests from this bed and breakfast are workmen and construction workers who come and stay for jobs located nearby. It is a favorite with these guests, who are mostly male. Females staying alone should consider these conditions, is such issues are concerning. Also, this equates into conditions that are generally louder at night and means breakfast is light on choices for late arrivals.
