Positive Reviews

Clean and spacious

The room is very clean and surprisingly spacious. The bathroom is equally impressive and very modern in design. The cost of staying here is another attractive feature and helps to make a trip to Venice a realistic possibility for many.

A warm and friendly welcome

The welcome is warm and friendly and there is plenty of advice available regarding places to visit and good value restaurants.

Convenient, but away from the tourists

The location is good and near the harbour. It isn’t a tourist hotspot area so the atmosphere is more laid-back ... and restaurants etc; are cheaper! It’s only a few minutes’ walk to Piazzale Roma. This is a real transport hub with trams - including the elevated one to the cruise terminals – taxis, water taxis and airport buses. Ca'Foscari University and the centre of Venice are also within easy reach.

Negative Reviews

Any old iron?

Things that aren’t supplied or available on request include ironing facilities. There are other things that are missing too. For example; at these prices, you don’t expect air conditioning. Consequently, the room can get hot and it becomes a mega-attraction for mosquitos.

A good find … but a difficult one

Journey’s end after a long flight is still quite a way off. The B&B is stuck up an alleyway and there is minimal signage to identify it. They seem to do this quite a lot in this part of the world.

It’s not for everyone

You don’t get the day to day attention that you might expect in a B&B. In truth, you are renting a room in someone’s house – and that’s it! Breakfast fans are in for another disappointment as it is very limited in choice and served in a nearby cafe.
