Positive Reviews

A great location

Devonshire Hotel is located in a quiet part of Torquay yet it is a short walk to the centre of town where you'll find dozens of restaurants, bars, entertainment venues and local eclectic shops.

You will enjoy a good night's sleep

Large, comfortable beds made up with soft sheets and a quiet location make for a great night's sleep.

The staff is wonderful

The warm, friendly staff welcomes you at check-in and is there for you during the duration of your stay. They are happy to accommodate most any request and can easily point you in the direction of the best places to dine, drink and shop as well as the most popular tourist destinations.

Negative Reviews

There is no WiFi in the guest rooms

There is no Wi-Fi available in the guest rooms which could be problematic if you are travelling on business or simply want to get an email out in a hurry and use your electronic devices. Luckily, there is Wi-Fi service in the public spaces.

Some rooms are smaller than others

Some of the guest rooms here are on the small side which could be disappointing. If you are travelling with more than one person or you need extra room to manoeuvre, you might want to ask for a larger accommodation.

Housekeeping isn't great

The housekeeping staff at Devonshire Hotel doesn't always do a great job. Long-neglected dust, mould in the bathroom and hairs left in places they shouldn't be could detract from your stay.
