Positive Reviews

Good location close to Torquay Harbour.

If you want to stay in central Torquay and close to many of the attractions this seaside town has to offer then this is a great hotel to book. It's just half a mile to Torquay Harbour, where many restaurants, pubs, and shops await you.

Affordable rooms perfect for budget travellers.

The rooms at this place are very reasonably priced, making it a good choice if you are looking for low-priced accommodation. Backpackers and travellers on a tight budget will really appreciate the low rates here.

Friendly and chatty staff do a great job.

Everyone working at this hotel is approachable and courteous, ready to lend a hand when necessary. If you have any requests they will be dealt with efficiently, and the staff are always happy to share their knowledge on things to do in the area.

Negative Reviews

Cleanliness is simply not up to scratch.

Housekeeping are cutting corners at this hotel, dirty carpets and mould in the ensuite bathrooms are just a couple of the things that you might notice while staying here. More thorough cleaning is definitely needed.

Thin walls mean you can hear your neighbours.

If you have noisy neighbours staying in the room next to you then be prepared to hear everything they say and do. The walls offer little soundproofing so pack a set of earplugs if you want to get a good night's sleep

Old hotel in desperate need of renovation.

This place could well look the same as it did 20 or 30 years ago. From the ancient televisions sets to the seriously dated decorating, this place is way behind the times. A complete refit is sorely needed here.
