Positive Reviews

A good value.

The Plough Inn provides a good value for what you receive. Although the accommodations are basic, they do provide comfort. Overall, the rates are very affordable for a night's stay in this area.

No fuss, just nice.

The landlord and family run the establishment and work hard to ensure all the service is friendly. Even the family pub dog is nice to customers. While there isn't a lot of fuss with the service, the niceness of the hosts is a rare treat when travelling.

A popular pub.

The pub in the inn is a popular one for locals. Guests of the inn will soon feel like one of the regular townsfolk in this fun little traditional pub which has been untouched by commercialism and still retains its small town charm.

Negative Reviews

No en-suite in the rooms.

The biggest concern with this inn is with the lack of en-suite services. The small inn only has a few rooms, but all those rooms and guests have to share the bathroom. The single bath facilities at the end of a long hall is a hardship for some guests.

Needs a tidying up.

The cleaning services are a bit lacking overall. Guests complain of dirty features and undusted services as well as general uncleanliness in the shared bathroom. Some features of the room are also a bit worn and could do with replacing altogether.

Road noise.

The inn is quite close to a very busy main road and road noise can be heard at all hours of the day and night. This problem is made worse by the unreliability of the room windows. Some windows don't close all the way and the noise sounds close making it h
