Positive Reviews

Exceptional breakfast

There have been many guests who have complimented the breakfast at Mullions No. 51. You will not come up short on portion size, as guests have said that there are so many choices when it comes to dishes, that you will struggle to have a taste of everything.

The dog is free

Most visitors with pets have been pleasantly surprised that they don't have to pay any extra for their fury friends. Pets are able to occupy a ground floor room with their owners, providing easy access to the outdoors.

Great value for money

This hotel has it all, according to so many travellers, and all at an excellent price. The shower has plenty of hot water with a lovely shower head, while individual toiletries are offered instead of the pump action dispensers. And the bonus is that the rooms have good soundproofing.

Negative Reviews

Creaky stairs

Because this is an old building, Mullions No. 51 still has a set of stairs that are pretty noisy, so every time there is someone going up or down the stairs, they make a funny noise, and might make you annoyed after a couple of days.

Deserted on Sunday

Some travellers who arrived to check-in on a Sunday afternoon were left a little surprised to find no one there to welcome them. They did find an envelope with a set of keys in and a welcome note, and then proceded to find the bar/lounge closed too.

Bed a little lumpy

There have been a few complaints about lumpy beds, where guests have actually requested a change of room. If you find a room with an uncomfortable bed, you could try putting an extra blanket on top of the mattress.
