Positive Reviews

Staff highlight of many a stay

The staff at Willy Wallace has been singled out as a regular highlight of the stay, with guests describing the team as hospitable, polite, an interesting bunch and full of great recommendations to get the best out of a visit to Stirling.

Great comfort for hostel

Despite the cheap price, the rooms and dormitories are clean, with compliments on the comfy beds and pillows from many hostel stayers.

Has the right vibe

Colourful and full of character, Willy Wallace has a special atmosphere and is a good place to meet other travellers, especially in the spacious lounge.

Location central as can be

You will find the proximity to the bus and train stations to be useful — just an easy 3- minute walk once you roll out of bed Otherwise, you are right in the middle of Stirling, so there is plenty of entertainment to be had.

Negative Reviews

Loud outside at night time

The night club across the road can cause a decent amount of ruckus during the weekends so ensure you bring your hostel friends — earplugs.

No Wi-Fi in rooms

While the Wi-Fi is free for you to use, it is mainly limited to use in the common areas such as the lounge and kitchen, so you will not necessarily be able to access it in your room.

Small small issues do not ruin stay

Some guests have been of the opinion there are not enough toilets, while the stairs needed to access higher rooms were a pain for a few and the kitchen was occasionally found to be too messy These were, however, only small issues and did not impact seriously on the stay of the guests who mentioned them.
