Positive Reviews

Warm staff, hot breakfast.

You will find the staff members at King Robert to be friendly, accommodating and considerate, while the food they serve up is of a good standard, and especially the breakfast with all the requisite cooked and cold options.

Rooms reasonably priced, tick the boxes.

Guests found the rooms to be functional and generally clean apart from a little dust, and came with everything you would need for a place to rest your head, at a reasonable price.

Bannockburn, Stirling just down the road.

Those visiting out of curiosity of the Battle of Bannockburn found the visitor centre next door worth a look, while the short drive or bus ride to Stirling opened up plenty of options for further exploration.

Negative Reviews

Some noise disturbance possible.

Some King Robert guests have reported noise from other guests, particularly when an event like a wedding is on, while the evening entertainment in weekends can also be heard from some quarters and a few people has some disturbance from the fire doors closing. Bring your earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

A little out of Stirling.

If you are looking for somewhere an easy walking distance to Stirling centre, this may not be your cup of tea, but guests found the bus line made downtown easily accessible.

No air conditioning and dated decor.

In hot periods, a small number of guests found the lack of air conditioning to be uncomfortable, while others found the decor and furnishings to be very much in need of updating.
