Not to be reductive, because St Andrews offers many attractive diversions, but if you’re a golfer, you’ll love how close the hotel is to numerous links, including the Old Course—the birthplace of golf in 1754, the British Golf Museum, St Andrews New Course and several other golfing excursions.

Walking distance from St Andrews destinations.

Even if you’re not in St Andrews to hit the links, the hotel is only a short stroll from dozens of historic sites like St Andrews Cathedral and the Byre Theatre. More contemporary activities like nightclubs, fine dining, shopping, concert halls and theatres are also close to the hotel.

Clean comfortable quarters.

Hotel Ogstons On North Street offers a terrific centralized locale with relaxing, cosy rooms. Immaculately clean, spacious yet comfy and subtly decorated, each room is ideal for business or pleasure travellers.

Limited breakfast selection.

Although the hotel provides a breakfast buffet from their charming Oak Rooms restaurant, some guests have found the variety to be a little lacking for the price—missing fruit and having a limited selection of Scottish cuisine despite the location. However, selection may depend upon how early you arrive at breakfast.

Poor signal strength.

When you stay at Hotel Ogstons On North Street, you’ll enjoy complimentary wireless Internet as part of the amenities. Unfortunately some prior visitors have found the signal strength to be weak and inconsistent in their rooms. As a result, you may wish to browse from the lobby.

Late night disco racket.

If you’re the type of guests who likes to stay up late and party, this isn’t a negative option. However, if you’re the type of guest looking for a peaceful holiday, you may wish to book a room far away from the disco, which often operates late into the night.
