Positive Reviews

Impressive quality for a good price

Agnes Blackadder Hall has impressed many guests with the high value it provides for a low price; the rooms are clean, equipped with their own TV, bathroom, come with toiletries, tea, coffee and biscuits, while the staff is friendly and welcoming.

Great location for St Andrews

With the historic attractions of St Andrews within an easy 10-minute walk, you will find the hall fantastic for exploring the town by foot and there is also plenty of parking available.

Great selection at breakfast

You will find the free breakfast to be a welcome addition to your stay; you can eat as much as you want, the selection is wide and there is cooked and continental fare Did students always eat this well?.

Negative Reviews

Queues prove breakfast popularity

A free breakfast is hard to pass by and this is a point proven by the queues which form at Agnes Blackadder Hall’s breakfast area There are lots of people and it is rather busy but there is plenty to go around.

Rooms could be bigger

A small number of guests have complained that the rooms are a little too small for their liking, but most guests found them more than adequate, especially for the price.

Mattresses not for everyone

If you are a fan of a luxurious mattress, then perhaps considering paying out a fair bit more to upgrade, as a few guests have found the beds to be uncomfortable However, this has not been a downside for many.
