Positive Reviews

Very comfortable accommodation.

Everywhere is so clean, including the rooms with exquisite bed linen and white fluffy towels. Spotless!

Helpful staff.

Members of staff are cheerful and friendly. Always pleased to offer advice on places to visit, they are obviously proud of what Southport has to offer. They have every reason to be so enthusiastic. The resort oozes the charm and space of years gone by and combines it with all the modern sophistication demanded by today's visitors.

Impressive food and drink.

The bar is friendly and well stocked … just ring the bell for service. Breakfast is excellent and served with the customary efficiency and friendliness shown by all members of staff. There's a high degree of flexibility too and if you have to make an early start, they'll do all they can to provide breakfast when you need it.

Negative Reviews

Doesn't merit the cost.

Toiletries not replenished and neither was the loo roll. Towels and bed linen have seen better nights and you don't have to look far to find dust. All these things are minor blips in an average sort of B&B but, when paying for something rather special, you feel a bit 'miffed'.

One man's sausage'

Breakfast is OK, excluding the sausage. Must be difficult to please everyone though.

Lacking atmosphere.

There's a general lack of the expected atmosphere and they seem to have an inflated opinion of their 'superior' rooms. Rooms are OKish, but to label them with titles that indicate something special leads to disappointment when you enter … *Very much the case here.
