Positive Reviews

Cheap and good value

The tariff here is very attractive when compared with similar type accommodation in the area. The hostel is very clean, the Wi-Fi is good, the air-con works well and there’s no evidence of mosquitos or other little nasties. Bunk-beds are comfortable and the people who run the place are very friendly and helpful.

Hawkers are great!

The MRT station is next door so there is easy access to other areas of the city. These include, about 20 minutes away, the main shopping road known as Orchard. There are cheap restaurants nearby, including one that is just around the corner. Then, there’s a supermarket within easy walking distance and for the savvy traveller, a hawker centre. Also known as food courts, these are the places to go for simple local dishes and rock bottom prices.

Relaxing areas

There are some pleasant communal areas in which to relax and chat to other travellers. If you crave more relaxation, there’s always the massage chair.

Negative Reviews

Wow! The rooms are tiny … almost nano in size.

The rooms are very small, but that’s a consequence of the low price. This place seems to be known by a number of titles, including Nano. This seems to be quite appropriate because when you look up the word definition, you discover that it is … microscopic. That’s the room description!

Mixed occupancy

Rooms are mixed sex; not divided into men and women. This is OK for couples and groups but somewhat embarrassing for those travelling alone. They aren't everyone's cup of tea.

Hidden treasure

The hostel couldn’t be more difficult to find. There is no sign outside and once you’ve identified it, you need to go upstairs to access it. They could make this aspect a lot easier.
