Positive Reviews

Idyllic setting

Guests are overwhelmed by the incredible ambiance, generated by the blend of old-world colonial architecture with a breath-taking, exotic environment. This 1930's style hotel exudes luxury with little touches, such as fish-ponds and miniature alligators, enhancing the feel. The wonderful, large swimming pool blends in magnificently into this environment too and is adored by the guests.

Attentive service

The atmosphere of well-being is, without a doubt, given a helping hand by the top quality customer service offered by the staff. Guests really feel pampered by the extremely kind and attentive staff. Gestures such as fresh fruit, offered around the pool, and free chocolates go down very well.

Extensive buffet breakfast

Guests find the breakfast to be absolutely delightful. No one complains about limited choice or quantities here - the selection is seemingly infinite and you can eat as much as you like.

Negative Reviews

Expensive onsite services

If you are wanting to dine in the hotel, or take a drink, you may find it a bit pricey. Guests find the services in the hotel - including the restaurant, bar and laundry - to be far from cheap - especially compared to what you can find in town for a fraction of the price.

Some staff have a poor level of English

Guests find that some of the staff can barely speak any English, which for some, is disappointing for such a high-class hotel.

Mosquito problems

The number of mosquitos in the room can be a problem for guests. Whilst you may think the hotel can do little to avoid this, guests claim that the quantity that get in could be minimised if the cleaning staff didn't leave the windows wide open everyday.
