Positive Reviews

A lovely, conveniently located B+B

This is a very welcoming B+B with some really attractive facilities thrown in and free! Close to the Old Town Walls; lots of interesting buildings, restaurants and bars are waiting to be explored.

The gift of free parking

It could be as the result of divine intervention on the part of ‘Brother Cadfael’, Shrewsbury’s legendary TV character, played by Derek Jacobi; but however it happened, the free onsite parking on the edge of the centre of this busy town is not to be sniffed at! The more energetic guest will note that they offer secure bicycle storage too.

Friendly and adaptable

Quite often in B+Bs, the dining areas are dead spaces once breakfast is out of the way. Here, though, they’ll work with business and conference folk to adapt it for their use. Brilliant! Another attractive feature from this angle must be the inviting bar space.

Negative Reviews

Early bird parking

There aren’t enough spaces to accommodate all guests’ vehicles. Faced with a full car park, the only alternative is to pay and park it in one of those money eating public car parks – and there are some nearby.

Cold comfort

The heating takes a heck of a time to filter through to the rooms so prepare for the chill factor as you wait for this happy event.

A little bit dated

It’s getting to the stage where a ‘refurb’ would make all the difference, although it’s possibly not feasible. Consequently, it’s clean enough and you’ll just have to turn a blind eye to items of decor which have seen better days.
