About Bowlish House

The Bowlish House in Shepton Mallet outside of Bristol, was completed in 1732 and is a Grade II Georgian house. It has been a hotel since 1954.

Guests to the Bowlish House can select from the Double Room, Family Room or King Room which features en-suite, TV and mini-bar as well as free Wi-Fi.

Cheddar Gorge and the cathedral like caves are nearby, so too is Wells Cathedral. The nearest train station is Castle Cary, 10 minutes by car.

Almost all of the guests had a great experience at the Bowlish House and commended the attentive and helpful staff for their enjoyable stay.

Rooms and common areas throughout Bowlish House were clean and tidy, making for a welcoming arrival for guests.

Comfortable Stay.

Guests felt very comfortable in this quaint, country-home style hotel, despite a few guests suggesting it required a refurbishment. For the most part, beds and pillows, and room comfort were highly regarded.

Becoming Tired.
