Positive Reviews

Family run and friendly.

The hotel is run by a family, and they take care of their guests. Very welcoming, the hosts might stay up into the night to greet late comers or put a smiley face into your eggs.

Good food to be had.

The breakfast at Chad Hill comes highly recommended. There are many options, and hosts are happy to cater to special needs. The bar snacks as well get glowing reviews.

Close to the beach.

This is a good choice for travellers who want to enjoy the beach during the day and have a quiet, relaxing night later. With good public transport options, beach-goers can spend time in the sun but avoid feeling like they are at a large resort.

Negative Reviews

Showers a bit small.

The shower room is said to be quite small, at times the water runs either too hot or too cold, and shower spray might be weak, hinting at general plumbing issues.

Dated décor in every nook and cranny.

Many comment on the amount of things taking up space in the hotel, saying that someone needs to seriously declutter the rooms and bar. It is Victorian themed, but many guests think a modernisation would be worthwhile.

Beds sometimes cosy, sometimes not.

While many guests mention that the beds are very comfortable, others disagree.
