Positive Reviews

Close to the Bay

Guests all love the location of this hotel. It's close to the bay, and there are also both modern attractions and old castles and ruins within a very short drive from the hotel. You can also walk to many area restaurants and shops.

The Rooms Are Well Kept

Guests all agree that the rooms at the hotel are very well kept. They don't have the dated look of many other hotels. The furniture and decorations seem to be properly cleaned and repaired, as needed. So, your room shouldn't feel rundown or tired.

The Food is Fantastic

Many guests have said that all of the food at the hotel is fantastic from the breakfasts to the evening meals. There is a nice selection of a la carte menu items, as well as wines and desserts. Fresh local produce, beef, and seafood is used to create each dish.

Negative Reviews

No Lift for You

Many guests said that certain rooms are very difficult to access because there is no lift at the hotel. The stairs are also quite steep and narrow. Therefore, this might not be the best hotel to book if someone in your party has mobility issues.

Don't Get a Room Above the Bar

Several guests who stayed in rooms above the bar said that they couldn't sleep all night because the customers and staff members in the bar were far too loud. So, especially if you are a light sleeper, you should request one of the rooms that isn't close to the bar area.

The Bathrooms Need Updating

Several guests mentioned that the bathrooms at this hotel need updating. Some rooms have toilets that are in separate water closets, not in the tub and shower area. Also, the showers often lack hot water and are quite small.
