Positive Reviews

Can't beat it for the price.

The rooms are small, but modern and clean. The hotel has been recently refurbished and the modern accommodations are a nice touch. The beds are large and comfortable. While it isn't five-star luxury, you can't beat all those nice touches for the price you pay.

Can't beat the location.

The location is the best feature of this small hotel. It's just steps away from some of the best cultural and historic sites in the city. Plus, there are dozens of pubs, clubs, and restaurants all within an easy stroll. The location is perfect for those who want a walking holiday.

Can't beat the personal touches.

The staff is very unusual in that they operate as free tour guides in addition to their other duties. After being warmly greeted, some even carry the luggage to your room while giving you the best local information on where to eat and what to do. Combined with a free map, this hotel is perfect for tourists who are new to the area.

Negative Reviews

Sherlock Holmes is on the case.

The hotel is very difficult to find, so make sure you have adequate directions or the location mapped on your phone. There are no external signs and the door is behind a large fountain. Take some courage and ring the buzzer because you're probably in the right place after all.

Paper-thin is not an exaggeration.

The walls are paper-thin and many guests have trouble catching any winks at night. Here, you can hear it all. Expect the sounds of closing doors, running showers, private conversations, bathroom exertions, and even people walking past on carpeted floors.

Average is better than bad, but not as good as great.

Overall, the accommodations are just average. Small details keep it from being great, but can add up to big annoyances. The WiFi signal fluctuates constantly, as does the water shower temperatures. The rooms are very small if more than one person is sharing.
