About Imperia Suite

Imperia Suite is set in Rome's elegant Solario district, just 300 metres from Policlinico metro station. Italian-style buffet breakfasts are complimentary at this welcoming, family-run guesthouse.

Spacious guest rooms with high ceilings and parquet floors feature en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. Air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges come as standard too. Timber-beamed suites boast Jacuzzis and private terraces. An independent apartment with a kitchen is also available.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the premises. Tourist information and luggage storage is on hand at reception. Airport transfers can be arranged for an additional fee.

Guests can enjoy breakfast in a communal dining room or, if they prefer, in their room. A number of restaurants are located within an easy walk of the hotel. One — the grandly named Desire to Archestratus Italian restaurant — is right next door.

Rome's famed Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and landmark Spanish Steps are all about two miles away from Imperia Suite.

Positive Reviews

Kind and considerate service

A great many travellers make very favourable comments about the hotel staff in their reviews. The super-friendly owners-cum-managers who look after things here have a way, visitors say, of making you feel like you're one of the family. Guests are also complimentary of their hosts' English-speaking skills.

Non-touristy neighbourhood and handy location

Reviewers are big fans of this hotel's location. Reviews identify the proximity of the metro and the lovely little Italian restaurant next door as particular highlights. The neighbourhood itself also has plenty of admirers, mainly because it has an authentic Roman vibe.

Clean, spacious rooms

The vast majority of visitors who stay here are impressed with the accommodations. As well as being larger than you might expect to find in Rome within this price range, travellers like the fact that the guest rooms are, in general, supremely neat and tidy.

Negative Reviews

Breakfast is a letdown

It may be free but that doesn't stop reviewers from laying into the complimentary Italian breakfast buffet offered here. Guests note that 'Italian' essentially means a choice of several sweet pastries and some coffee - and that's it.

Can't escape the noise

Travellers note that, although this neighbourhood is actually pretty quiet, you're still very likely to be disturbed by noise while staying here. This, guests suggest, is because the architecture in the area reverberates sound around the street incredibly effectively.
