Positive Reviews

Good location for the Vatican

Guests were generally quite happy with the location of the hotel. Many were headed to the Vatican, both its museums and St Peter’s Basilica. They reported that these popular attractions were only a 10-minute walk away, and this allowed them to get a bit of a head start on other visitors arriving from more distant parts of the city.

Lovely neighbourhood

Aside from the location, guests also really liked the neighbourhood itself. It was described as relatively quiet, residential and very attractive. Guests mentioned feeling very safe there.

Cleanliness is a go

Guests were very satisfied with the cleanliness of their rooms, saying that the housekeeping staff did an excellent job getting their room ready before they checked in and keeping it neat and tidy with daily servicing.

Negative Reviews

Very poor breakfast

Guests reported that the breakfast consisted of pretty much “coffee and a croissant”, which they did not feel was good enough for the start of their day. The quality of the pastry and hot drink was also said to be poor.

Lukewarm showers

It seems the hot water tank here is perhaps a bit small. Guests reported that not all guests could have a nice hot shower during the morning rush, with many having to be satisfied with a very tepid one instead.

Very small rooms

The rooms here were said to be very small, perhaps as small as they could be without placing the bed vertically. Guests who liked to spend a good deal of time in their rooms, rather than out in the city, felt a bit hemmed in.
