Positive Reviews

OK rooms

They are pretty basic but fine and contain most of the fundamentals needed. Bathrooms are a bit small, but you aren’t intending to spend all day in there!

The right start to a day in Rome

Catering isn’t a prime feature here but breakfast is surprisingly good, as are the staff who are very helpful and adaptable.

Unusual dining – + high ‘points’

Quite often, the timid tourist feels confined to the safety of the hotel and to extortionate wining and dining tariffs. There’s none of that here. Yes, choice is limited to the Italian restaurant across the road. They don’t speak English but they have an English menu; so just ‘point’ and enjoy.

Negative Reviews

Rome: so near and yet, so far

For the ‘beginner’, the journey is ‘eternal’ and not simple either. You need to take the local bus and ‘then’ the underground to get there. If thinking of making a city centre night of it and rolling back to the hotel in the early hours; this, too, has its pitfalls … the underground closes at night!

An imperfect ‘Roman Holiday’

For some reason, the basic tea and coffee facilities are not included in rooms Also, there are no ‘views’ here; the area isn’t very attractive There’s no ‘information pack’ and day to day housekeeping isn’t all that it should be … and yet, depending on aspirations … for many; it works!

Far away is the best way

Those who require sleep, please note: noise from: fellow guests, stairs, lifts and vending machines … decreases with rooms that are at the far ‘end’ of a corridor.
