Positive Reviews

Stunning location.

The setting for this hotel is ideal and one of the most picturesque you’ll find in the area. It’s quaint and comfortable and the grounds it is set in are very well maintained. Ideal for some downtime in the country.

Lovely staff make the difference.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. They are courteous at all times and are full of useful information about both the grounds and the local area.

Spacious rooms are a surprise.

In boutique hotels the rooms are often compact but at this hotel the rooms are actually quite large. It’s a surprise given how small the hotel is but it makes for a very pleasant stay especially for small families.

Negative Reviews

In need of some work.

The hotel in general is in an average condition with some areas being a bit shabby. The owners need to make the decision to redecorate in order to attract more guests. It’s not very bad but still nothing you’ll remember in a good way.

Not as clean as it could be.

The building is quite old but this is no real excuse for allowing the place to get dirty. It seems that there are areas that rarely get a good cleaning at all. This is a poor effort for a three star hotel and spa.

A little too old for some.

The place isn’t as up to date as it could be. The lack of a Wi-Fi service and the use of old dial up internet should be warning enough. The TVs are old and some of the remotes don’t even work at all.
