About Pilgrim Monument

The Pilgrim Monument was built to commemorate the "first landing" of the Mayflower Pilgrims in Provincetown on November 21, 1620, and their signing of the Mayflower Compact here.

It is a 252 foot granite monument which looks out over the town of Provincetown and the Cape Cod coastline.

The monument includes a large museum giving the full history of the Pilgrims and their travels across the Atlantic. There are exhibitions and events on all year.
