Positive Reviews

Location, location and…position

This is a pretty basic budget hostel, so it is inevitably the fantastic location right in the heart of Prague that most impresses guests. They can scarcely believe their good fortune in being so close to all the street life, nightlife and attractions at the room rate they paid.

Kind and helpful owner

This is a tiny property, without a permanent staff member on-site. In such circumstances people often have difficulty getting keys and sorting out any issues that arise. In this case, guest were happy to report that they found the owner, Mr Burovka, incredibly engaged, friendly and more than willing to help guests out with any problems they experienced.

In a beautiful old building

Considering the fact that many guests were in Prague, at least in part to enjoy the incredibly well preserved architecture, they were very happy that they were actually staying in one of the beautiful classical buildings that they greatly admired.

Negative Reviews

No television

There are very few complaints about Prague -1 Hostel indeed. Though the rooms are basic, pretty much all guests are exceptionally happy with the fact that they booked a budget place at budget rates, and got to stay in clean and comfortable rooms right in the heart of the city. One almost throwaway comment was that there was no TV to watch, but this wasn't a major issue since there were far more interesting things to do in the city outside.

Somewhat difficult to find

It was mentioned that the building can be a bit difficult to find, especially in the dark.

No full kitchen

Some guest pointed out that it would have been useful to have a proper kitchen, so that full meals could be prepared. The hostel has only a fridge and microwave available to use.
