Impressive rooms.

Rooms at the Premier Inn Portsmouth Horndean offer a comfortable stay. Guests found the accommodation on offer was good quality with an acceptable selection of included amenities. Bonuses include plentiful TV channels and air-conditioning.

Friendly customer service.

The service on offer at this hotel certainly seems to make guests feel welcome and at home. Staff extend a friendly greeting to the area and are more than happy to take the time to explain the available facilities at the hotel.

Enjoyable breakfast.

Most guests found the breakfast served in the Red Lion restaurant was of a good standard and was also reasonably priced. There’s a good choice of dishes available and guests appreciated the cooked-to-order nature of the meal.

Negative Reviews

Some road noise.

Not all guests mention any noise concerns at this hotel but enough do to make you think that perhaps road noise is occasionally an issue. Thankfully, the in-room air-conditioning means you can keep your window closed.

Occasional delays in the restaurant.

Despite leaving positive comments about the standard of food and service in the restaurant, a number of guests were surprised by how long it took to have food arrive at the table. It’s not a huge problem if you were planning on enjoying a leisurely meal but may become one if you have somewhere to be.

Not all guests like the new beds.

Although the new Hypnos beds installed into the hotel rooms are generally well received by guests, some did find them a little on the hard side. Perhaps they’ll soften over time or maybe it’s just a matter of personal taste as some guests were more than satisfied.
