Positive Reviews

Excellent view and location

Guests rave about the location of this hotel. It directly overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, and is positioned right up against the waters. Many of the guest rooms feature sea views, adding even more to the experience. Further, guests note that the lodge is only a 15-minute drive from a UNESCO World Heritage Site — Giant's Causeway.

Great breakfast

Guests to Albany Lodge suggest that the breakfast is something to write home about. While there are the typical lighter options consisting of fresh fruit and yoghurt, there's also an impressive, full Irish breakfast offered daily and served within the hotel's dining room. Guests give high marks to this Irish breakfast.

Spa bath in rooms

Some of the rooms feature a spa bath within the private bathrooms, which guests suggest is a pleasant amenity.

Negative Reviews

Awkward parking

There isn't a dedicated on-site parking lot with free parking, or apparently a nearby off-site parking area. Instead, guests suggest that you must park streetside. This can be awkward and a bit difficult due to the spacing of the spots and their limited numbers.

Wi-Fi in rooms can be slow

Guests say that the Wi-Fi Internet access available in the guest rooms at Albany Lodge can be on the slow side, leading to a frustrating experience.

Traffic noise

There are some reports that there is either poor insulation or thin walls at this establishment, leading to the traffic noise from outside infiltrating some rooms. Specifically, a couple guests noted this appears to be a problem with rooms at the front of the hotel.
