Positive Reviews

Absolutely wonderful staff

Guests often chalked up their lovely stay to the welcoming staff members, whose great local knowledge and willingness to get to know their guests and help wherever possible made them favourites.

Simple but quality accommodation

You will find the rooms to be basic, but nevertheless homely, bigger than you may expect, kept in a clean condition and Travelodge Porthmadog provides a quiet spot to get your rest Good value.

Ideal for Porthmadog and exploring nature

It is just 10 minutes’ walk into Porthmadog centre and Ffestioniog Railway from the hotel, with plenty of places to eat downtown and a Lidl right next door, while day trips to Portmeirion, Black Rock Sands and into the Snowdonia National Park are a breeze.

Negative Reviews

In industrial estate, but not dodgy

While Travelodge Porthmadog is found in a small industrial estate, the area is well-lit, feels safe and is not very far from Porthmadog high street.

Floppy bedside lamps…

Some guests have found the bedside lamps unusable due to the impossibility of getting the lamp to stay focused in a good reading position.

Not much storage space

More storage space in rooms for clothes, perhaps a table for luggage, or for that matter, clothes hooks in the bathroom, would have been appreciated by guests.
