Positive Reviews

Very nice cellar bar.

You will find Golden Fleece Inn’s cellar bar to be a fantastic spot to have an ale amongst personable local sorts and the hearty food has also gone down well with those who stayed.

Plenty to explore in area.

The inn occupies a very interesting spot, right on town square at Tremadog, not far from the attractions of Porthmadog and close to the edge of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, so guests found it to make a useful base for exploring.

Knowledgable and friendly staff.

Guests found the friendly staff members to provide a warm welcome and were otherwise very knowledgeable about the area, with plenty of insiders tips to offer.

Negative Reviews

In Tremadog, not Porthmadog.

A small handful of guests were surprised to find the hotel is in Tremadog not Porthmadog, as described in some places online, but since it is only a mile away it has not proved a problem.

Busy pub can at times be noisy.

As pubs can sometimes be, this busy pub here can occasionally be noisy to early hours, and a few guests have also reported hearing flushing noises from other loos so perhaps take a pair of earplugs or request an annex room if you are a light sleeper

Some small room issues.

A few guests found their rooms to be smaller than they liked, the Wi-Fi was generally good but sometimes was not so strong in rooms, while a handful of people were not impressed by the mattresses.
