About Hotel Laguna Park I

Hotel Laguna Park I is a sunny welcoming resort hotel located in the South of Tenerife, within easy reach of Torviscas Beach. The hotel comprises 178 beautifully equipped apartments and 4 studios.

Studios, ideal for singles or couples, have lounges with 2 beds while apartments have double rooms and lounge with sofa beds, all have en suite, American kitchen, balcony, safes and optional satellite TV. The apartments provide excellent holidays for families.

Hotel Laguna Park I provides facilities for sports and recreation for all the family, including swimming (child pool available) petanque, snorkelling, billiards, table tennis and a games lounge. In the evenings there is varied entertainment in the resort.

The Bellavista Restaurant provides extensive and imaginative buffet meals, breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed here and there is a good wine list to choose from.

The centre of Las Americas is accessible by the daily bus service and the beach is nearby.

In the Thick of It

The hotel is in a lovely position. The beach is not far away and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars and good shops nearby.

Helpful and Friendly

The staff are generally praised and a complimentary bottle of wine was appreciated. Maintenance personnel are quick to fix any problems.

A Popular Pool

The pool area is very attractive with plenty of sunbeds, and the rooms are spacious and clean.

Negative Reviews

No Help With the Neighbours From Hell

There was a shortage of staff at times, leading to poor service in the restaurant. When guests in a neighbouring room continued with loud late night arguments there was no help from reception, and the complainant had to speak directly to the offenders to resolve the problem; not everyone would have had the cojones to deal with such a problem effectively.

Time for an Update

The apartments need refurbishment, and the maid service should be improved. Cutlery and crockery were dirty on arrival: guests had to buy washing up liquid and wash them before using them. The whole complex is 'tired', with cracked tiles and, peeling paint in the public areas. On the TV BBC channels were unreliable and grainy. The TV was so old it did not have a remote. In one apartment only one shower was hot out of three. Water was cut off on three days running for maintenance without warning.

Beware the British Disease

The swimming pool is not heated, important in the winter, many sunbeds were broken, and there were not enough mattresses for them. With a good weather forecast this led to what Guests described as the “British Disease” of towels on sunbeds before sunrise! A mother criticized the ban on inflatables and balls in the pool.
