Located on historic Chapel Street, Artist Residence Penzance Hotel & Gallery is housed in a Grade II listed 17th-century Georgian mansion.

Something a little different

Waking up here is rather like waking up in your own personal art gallery Each room is designed by a local artist The best thing is that if you return for a repeat visit, you’ll get a whole new collection of art to admire.

Excellent breakfast

Guests love the quality of the award-winning breakfast You’ll enjoy a wide choice of buffet items and a selection of a la carte dishes Since all the food here is prepared in-house with locally sourced produce you can expect a real treat Don’t forget to try a Cornish pasty!

Accessibility may be an issue

It seems that all of the guestrooms at the Artist Residence & Gallery are accessed by stairs, so wheelchair users or guests with other mobility issues may encounter problems It’s best to ring ahead if you foresee issue with this aspect of the hotel.

Rooms and bathrooms are a little small

Some guests comment that their room was a little small and describe the bathrooms as tiny To be fair, this is fairly typical of boutique hotels, and most reviewers concede that the smaller space did not detract from an otherwise fantastic stay.

Parking is awkward

There doesn't appear to be any parking outside and some guests report having to find a space that was “a bit of a hike” from the guesthouse Of course, this won’t be a problem if you arrive by train but something to be aware of if you do plan to drive.
