Pretty village location with good transport links

This property's location in a pretty Shropshire village near the Welsh border was popular with many travellers as shops, amenities and bus stops were conveniently located nearby. Whittington Castle was just over the road for leisurely strolls or feeding the ducks and there were also a couple of pubs serving food in the village plus a wider choice of eateries a short drive away. Motorists welcomed the proximity of the A5 and A495 as well as the availability of free parking. Drivers liked the way they could easily reach nearby market towns like Oswestry and medieval Shrewsbury plus regional attractions, sports venues, beauty spots and transport links.

Occasional noise complaints

Due to the proximity of the main road, some light sleepers were disturbed by occasional traffic noise in certain rooms. Moreover, there were reports of creaky floorboards causing irritating noises at times.

Accessibility could have been better

Steep staircases combined with the lack of a lift posed problems for several visitors with limited mobility from time to time.

Claims some rooms were too small
