About Rihga Place Higobashi

Set in a 12-storey tower block, the Rihga Nakanoshima Inn Osaka lies close to the city centre and is right next to the Higobashi metro station. Free Wi-Fi and an-site convenience store compliment this three-star business hotel’s convenient location.

Simple, streamlined accommodations with plain decor provide LCD TVs, mini-fridges and tea-making facilities. Work desks, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries also come as standard.

Coin-operated laundry facilities are located on every even-numbered floor. Massage treatments (at a fee) are available on request. A lift serves all floors.

A breakfast buffet consisting of both Western and Japanese dishes is served in the subdued ‘Café Terrace’. Light meals and snacks are also offered at lunch and tea-time. Vending machines dispense soft and alcoholic drinks.

The Rihga Nakanoshima Inn Osaka is a 15-minute metro ride from Shin-Osaka (bullet train) station and just over two miles from Osaka’s famed castle. Osaka International Airport is eight miles away.

Positive Reviews

Very handy location

A stone's throw from the nearest metro station and a mere ten-minute stroll from Osaka central train station; it's easy to see why so many travellers have been won over by the convenience of this hotel's location. Being within a 20 minute stroll of the Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori shopping areas was deemed a big plus too.

Customer service is second-to-none

It has been noted that the level of service provided by the impossibly polite staff members here is nothing short of exemplary. Indeed, a significant number of visitors believed the hotel's employees were undoubtedly its biggest asset.

Plenty of peace and quiet

Despite being located in a bustling business district, this hotel affords plenty in the way of peace and quiet. Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of guests who stayed here liked this very much.

Negative Reviews

Rooms are absolutely tiny

It is fair to say that the guest rooms here are — even by modern Japanese standards — practically Lilliputian in scale. Most travellers agreed that booking a double room was the best approach.

Interiors are blighted by unpleasant smells

In addition to an almost constant smell of tobacco in the corridors and lifts, numerous visitors have complained of an altogether nastier and more potent odour coming out of the toilets in the bathrooms.

Spotty Wi-Fi can be a bit of a pain

A great many frustrated visitors have been pretty damning about the hotel's free Wi-Fi. As well as being painfully slow, it seems to drop out on a frustratingly regular basis too.
