Positive Reviews

Superb staff make all the difference.

The staff at this hotel make a real effort to ensure that all of the guests are enjoying their stay and have plenty of tips and advice on the local area. No matter what your request is, there will be someone that can deal with it.

Idyllic location.

This hotel is in such a great setting that you’ll hardly want to leave it at all. There are wonderful views of the countryside, and the hotel garden is ideal for letting the kids run around in or for enjoying a cool drink in the evening sun.

Food in restaurant is good value.

The meals served in the carvery are quite tasty and represent excellent value with those large portions. Many guests have noted that they only ate in the hotel during their entire stay which says a lot about the quality of the food on offer.

Negative Reviews

Poor Wi-Fi.

Sure the Wi-Fi is free but unfortunately it is almost impossible to get a good connection going for very long. Perhaps it depends on where you are staying in the hotel as the further your room is from reception, the poorer the signal.

Poor staffing arrangements.

The bar staff are the same staff that handle the check-in process which is far from ideal. This means that if you arrive during a busy spell in the restaurant or bar, you may have a long wait for your room key. The staff do their best, but a person on reception full-time would make a big difference.

Unusual service set up.

You have to order and pick up your food by yourself which seems a bit strange for a hotel restaurant. It’s a bit confusing unless one of the staff has explained it to you first. Not the best of arrangements.
