About Hotel Crown

The Hotel Crown is a half-timbered 16th Century, Grade two listed hotel in the historic town of Nantwich.

All rooms are en-suite and include tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and TV. Many include exposed beams and leaded windows; these original features beautifully sit among modern décor.

The hotel offers free parking, complimentary Wi-Fi and well-behaved pets are often welcome.

An Italian-inspired menu is served from local produce in the Casa Brasserie and, while the Hotel Crown Bar does offer a bar menu, the main focus is on drinks; real ales are a speciality. A resident pianist plays in the bar several times a week and live music events take place most weeks.

The Hotel Crown is located a three-minute walk from Nantwich museum and popular places to visit nearby include Tatton Park and the City of Chester.

Positive Reviews

Relaxed atmosphere for dinner.

Many previous guests have commented on the quality of the evening meals, generous portions and the excellent service. The relaxed dining experience is only enhanced by the presence of a live pianist.

Great location.

Nantwich can be busy, particularly on market days, but you should never have an issue parking as spaces are allocated to the hotel. The hotel is also well-located with shops, bars and restaurants close by.

Full of character.

From the outside the hotel is a stunning black and white half-timbered building and the interior is no less charming; quirky, uneven floors, leaning staircases, unusual layouts and the odd squeaky floorboard all add to the personality.

Negative Reviews

Room issues.

Some guests have suggested that the rooms are a little tired in places and issues with bathrooms, such as poor water pressure and showers being tricky to operate, have been reported. The hotel is on a pedestrianised road, but noise may be heard from late-

Paying for breakfasts.

If you'd like breakfast with your stay this can be arranged but, it will be for an additional cost. Guests do suggest that the breakfasts are good and service on hot plates is a nice touch, but many find the cost excessive.

The tall among you beware.

Walls, ceilings and floors in this 16th Century building are unusual and sloping in places and some rooms on the top floor, in particular, have low ceilings and beams. Tall guests would be advised to discuss room choices with the hotel prior to booking, t
