Situated in Munich’s lively artist’s quarter, the Fleming’s Hotel Munich-Schwabing offers its guests functional and modern accommodation, with added health and wellness features.

Rooms are clean, functional and very modern. They all feature air conditioning, minibars, flat screen TV’s with international channels, work desks, telephones and in-room safes.

While the hotel doesn’t have extensive facilities, it does feature a wellness area with small gym, steam room and sauna. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Fleming’s Brasserie and Wine Bar offers classic French dishes, together with an extensive wine list for that perfect pairing. When the weather is fine, you’ll find the people out in the beergarden, enjoying both the beer and the street life passing by.

Munich city centre and its main railway station are about three miles from Fleming’s Munich-Schwabing. The famous, and sometimes infamous, Hofbrauhaus, at the centre of Oktoberfest, is 3.5 miles away.

Positive Reviews

Close to the U-Bahn station

While the hotel is a bit out of the centre of Munich, most guests have no problem with this at all. They mention that since the U-Bahn station is so close it was a simple matter to go into town, and elsewhere in Munich.

Excellent Wi-Fi

Unusually for hotel reviews, almost all guests commenting on the Wi-Fi give it a thumbs up. Guests were very happy that they found a signal throughout the property, and that the speed was fast enough for their purposes.

Ample and tasty breakfast

It seems many guests were expecting the worst when it came to the breakfast, but were very pleasantly surprised that it was an extensive spread, and very tasty as well.

Negative Reviews

Extremely small rooms and bathrooms

This was a fairly a fairly common complaint. While the hotel doesn't misrepresent the size of its rooms, when checking in some guests just didn't like how small they were when in the actual space. There are bigger suites, but of course they cost a lot more than the standard rooms.

Open air shower

Well, the showers aren't exactly open air, but many of the rooms have showers that are simply normal glassed in showers, but right in the room. While this wouldn't be much of a problem for most couples, any other type of party would likely find it awkward, to say the least.

Recurring problem with air conditioning

Curiously, several guests complained that the air conditioning in their rooms worked, but was simply insufficient to the task in summer. It's not clear whether this was an isolated problem, or that the units cannot cope in really hot weather.
